Kornit Presents the new Kornit 951 Avalanche!

We are happy to introduce you our new printer! Industrial Direct On Garment Printer for Massive Level Production Business. Developed for the high-volume production of light and dark garments, Kornit 951 Avalanche enables printing spectacular color process prints that meet the high-quality, high-speed, and low cost demands of the garment print industry.

Designed for custom print runs of up to 300 garments per hour and backed by a bulk ink system built around 1.5 liter ink bottles and Kornit`s proprietary pigmented ink, Kornit 951 Avalanche is built for non-stop and economical operation. Together with its ability to accommodate a wide selection of pallets customized for different garment sizes, the Avalanche assures fast turnaround, the highest profitability, and the lowest printing costs in the marketplace.

The Kornit 951 Avalanche features a dual-pallet system that is supported by a two fold-bridge platform. Together with a innovative operating system, a user-friendly interface, and the Kornit QuickP Ripping application, the Kornit 951 Avalanche enables the easy operation and maintenance of a unique, parallel, printing system.

Kornit Continues to Push the Limits!

As the Kornit product line has expanded with not only the Breeze for the entry level market but also with the Kornit Avalanche for mass production, development continues within Kornit Digital to push the limits of direct - to - garment production. Kornit Digital will be introducing a remarkable new ink series in 2011. The new ink series, identified now as the V223 series, shows a significant improvement in color gamut volume, which translates into enhanced printer performance, together with significant improvements in the chemical characteristic of the ink such as: better elasticity, better hand feel, longer shelf life and, most importantly, the new V223 version is the first digital textile ink that is formaldehyde free.

Kornit performed several tests in order to evaluate the color gamut differences between the existing ink set and the new Version 223 ink set. Several aspects of the color gamut were measured amongst them, the gamut volume. Generally, a larger gamut volume means that the printer can reproduce more colors accurately and smoothly. Therefore, better reproduction of incoming colors is enabled. Also, spot colors such as Pantones will be more achievable with the new ink set. The ink sets tested were V200, Kornit’s current ink series, and the V223 set to be introduced in 2011. Both ink sets were tested on two fundamental media: white T-shirts and black T-shirts improved using the new V223 ink set. This means that all colors that the Kornit printer could reach with the V200 ink set are still reachable and even more colors will also be achievable. This will help in matching more colors coming into the system and will better emulate colors from, for example, offset printers.

The white T gamut volume is even larger than the black T gamut (See image above). The gamut volume of the V223 ink is bigger than the gamut volume for the V200 ink. In some cases the new ink set will properly reproduce the V200 ink colors but in other cases colors that were possible with the V200 ink will be improved by the V233 ink set due to the change in hue of the V223 colors that are brighter and more accurate.

The benefit of Kornit Digital being a vertical company that designs develops and manufactures not only its machines but also its inks and chemicals as well, has never been more evident. As new equipment is developed, the research and development never slows down, but expands into how the new equipment can be made better and how color reproduction can be even more precise.

Kornit Digital Europe GmbH Opening!

Kornit is proud to announce the opening of Kornit Digital Europe GmbH.
The office will manage a local inventory and will provide full logistical services to the European distributors, including handling all deliveries of consumables and spare parts.

Technical Training Course

The Technical Training will include recognation and knowledge of Kornit Digital printers: 931, 932, 933, 921 and 951. The principle is a general knowledge and then a telescoping knowledge of each of the printers subsystem. The training will also inclode a theoretical and a practical practice of the printer, a hardware and software learning.

The course is planned to take place in Kornit Digital Israel. The course, lasting 10 days, will run from Sunday 6.2.2011 until Thursday 17.2.2011. Course hours will run from 09:00 to 18:00.

Spray Wiping Upgrade Kit

The Kornit Spray Wiping Upgrade Kit for automatic handling of unique garment pretreatment is now available for Kornit Thunder 932 models.

The new Spray Wiping System automatically wipes the garment surface after the preT solution is applied. The wiping system evenly spreads the preT solution over the entire printing surface and lay down the fibers, thereby enhancing print quality on dark garments.

January Maintenance Tip!

When printing images with black/dark areas on dark garments, the dark areas of the image can be reduces/removed.

Kornit QuickP Designer is designed so its automatically reduces the total ink coverage in these areas in order to utilize your Kornit printer ink consumption without compromising on image quality.
